Details: Miss Charlotte Pettifer is a member of a secret society of women who are adept at the subtle arts. That is to say, witchcraft, which must never be mentioned. The League of Gentlewomen Witches seeks to make a tiny difference in the world. They use magic to tidy, correct, and manipulate things according to their own ideas of what is right, unlike the Wisteria Society's reprobates.
